WOLF HALL SEASON 2 RELEASE DATE, CAST, EPISODE COUNT AND MORE AS BBC SHOW FINALLY RETURNS

Wolf Hall season two is set to hit BBC One soon but when will it start and who are the stars of this unforgettable drama?

Wolf Hall, based on Hilary Mantel's novels of the same name, is making a comeback on television, continuing the story of Thomas Cromwell's life.

This season, the focus will be on the final four years of his life, "completing his journey from self-made man to the most feared, influential figure of his time".

Wolf Hall season 2 release date

The second instalment of the historical drama, titled Wolf Hall: The Mirror And The Light, is scheduled to premiere on Sunday, November 10, at 9pm on BBC One.

It's been nine years since the first series was released, with the announcement of the second season being in pre-production made back in 2022.

Wolf Hall season two cast

Mark Rylance, star of Bridge Of Spies and Dunkirk, will reprise his role as Thomas Cromwell in the second season of Wolf Hall.

Joining him will be Homeland's Damian Lewis as King Henry VIII, along with several new faces, including Peaky Blinders' Kate Phillips as Jane Seymour, the king's new wife.

Other notable additions to the cast include Timothy Spall from Mr Turner as the Duke of Norfolk, Harriet Walter from Killing Eve as Lady Margaret Pole, and Alex Jennings from The Queen as Stephen Gardiner.

The second series will also feature flashbacks of Cardinal Wolsey, played by Jonathan Pryce from The Crown.

Wolf Hall season two episode count

The second series of Wall Hall will comprise six episodes, mirroring the first series.

Episodes are set to be released weekly on BBC One and BBC iPlayer after its initial release date.

Barring any changes to the schedule, the finale is expected to air on Sunday, December 15.
