Police have said a Nottinghamshire road will be closed for "some time" as investigations take place into a serious crash.
Nottinghamshire Police was called to a two-vehicle collision on the A57 near East Markham at 7.44am on Saturday, December 13.
The A57 is currently closed between the junctions with High Street and Askham Road.
The force has asked drivers to stay away from the area until it has concluded its investigation into the incident.
A spokesperson, who did not say if anyone had been injured in the collision, said: "Motorists are being urged to avoid the East Markham area following a serious crash.
"We were called to reports of a two-vehicle collision on the A57 at 7.44am today.
"The A57 is currently closed between the junctions with High Street and Askham Road and is expected to remain shut for some time while investigations take place.
"We’d like to thank motorists for their patience and understanding."
