DRIVER CRASHES CAR INTO TRAFFIC LIGHTS CAUSING DELAYS IN CAMBRIDGESHIRE VILLAGE

A car crashed into a set of traffic lights in a Cambridgeshire village on Tuesday (December 2). Cambridgeshire Police were called to Bridge Road in Impington at 7am with reports of a car crashing into some traffic lights.

Officers attended to the scene but no arrests were made. No one in the car was injured.

There were traffic delays in the area while the vehicle was recovered. Work had to be done to make sure the exposed wires were made safe.

A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Police said: "We were called at 7am this morning (2 December) Bridge Road, Impington, to reports of a car colliding with some traffic lights.

"There were no injuries, no arrests and officers are still at the scene."
