ALL WEST MIDLANDS ROADS CLOSED AS SNOW STORM BATTERS REGION
Drivers are facing significant travel disruption on snow-covered roads in the West Midlands this morning after Storm Goretti battered the region overnight.
Birmingham and other parts of the Midlands woke up to snow-covered roads today (January 9).
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for ice and snow.
"Storm Goretti is likely to bring heavy snow leading to disruption and difficult travelling conditions," warned the national weather service.

Motorists have been urged to only travel if "absolutely necessary".
A number of roads in the West Midlands have been affected by the overnight snowfall.
Below is a list of road closures and disruptions across the region's road network.
Road closures in place
A446 Lichfield Road (Canwell) - the road is closed in both directions from A38 (Bassetts Pole Island) to M6 Toll J2 (Coleshill/Wishaw). Traffic is currently queueing.
A456 Quinton Expressway (Quinton) - the northbound side is closed from the Ridgeway (Quinton Business Park) to the Toby Carvery roundabout.
Roads 'just passable'
A34 Green Lane (Leamore) - in both directions 'just passable' due to snow from Leamore Lane (Leamore) to A4148 Blue Lane West (Walsall).
A38 Southbound - just passable due to snow from M6 Toll JT4 (Weeford Interchange, Weeford) to M6 Toll JT3 (Tamworth / Sutton Coldfield, Sutton Coldfield).
A38 Worcestershire southbound - A38 eastbound just passable due to snow from M5 J4 (Bromsgrove/Stourbridge, Worcestershire) to Rubery.
A435 Hollywood by-pass - in both directions just passable due to snow between Middle Lane (Wythall) and Alcester Road South (Maypole).
A461 Dudley southern by-pass - in both directions just passable due to snow between A4037 Tipton Road (Castle Gate Island) and A459 Cinder Bank (Cinder Bank Island).
A461 Lichfield Road - in both directions just passable due to snow from A5 (Muckley Corner Island, Muckley Corner) to A452 Chester Road (Walsall Wood).
A4100 Garratts Lane (Rowley Regis) - in both directions just passable due to snow from Powke Lane to Wright's Lane.
Congestion and delays
Hagley Road Wychbury - slow traffic due to snow on A456 Hagley Road in both directions from Hall Lane (Wychbury Inn Traffic Lights) to Manor Way. Expect delays.
A38 - Streethay southbound in Staffordshire - one lane closed and delays expected due to long-term roadworks on A38 Southbound at A5127 (Streethay).
Roads reopened/cleared
A5 (Weeford) - reopened in in both directions. Snow has been cleared between the M6 Toll J4 and Bitterscote Drive. Traffic is beginning to ease, though roughly 50 cars were previously stuck within the closure.
A435 Alcester Road (Redditch) cleared - traffic has returned to normal between the A4023 Coventry Highway and M42.
