A 25-year-old man has died following a drive-by shooting in south London.
Four people were injured after shots were fired from a vehicle in Coldharbour Lane, Brixton, just after 1am on Saturday.
Keanu Taylor, one of the victims, has since died from his wounds and a murder investigation has been opened, the Metropolitan Police said on Tuesday.
Three others, aged 21, 47 and 70, remain in hospital, though their injuries have been assessed as not life‑threatening or life‑changing.
Scotland Yard said no arrests had been made and a manhunt was under way.
Det Ch Insp Allam Bhangoo, who is leading the investigation, said: “As we work quickly to identify those responsible, our thoughts are with Keanu’s family and friends at this incredibly difficult time.
“This was a shocking act of violence which has had a devastating impact on those involved and the local community. I want to reassure residents that we are working urgently to identify and apprehend those responsible.”
He added: “It is vital that anyone who saw what happened, or has any information or footage, comes forward. Even the smallest detail could prove crucial to our investigation.
“Local residents will continue to see an increased police presence in the area over the coming days. If you have any concerns, please speak to officers.”
The Evening Standard reported that a barbecue had been taking place before the shooting, with residents left to clear up piles of canisters containing nitrous oxide – known as laughing gas or “hippie crack” – on Saturday morning.
