MANCHESTER UNITED VS SHEFFIELD UNITED: CONFIRMED LINE UPS AND TEAM NEWS

Marcus Rashford misses Manchester United’s Premier League clash tonight against Sheffield United but there is still no room in the starting XI for Amad Diallo.

United scraped through by the skin of their teeth at Wembley on Sunday, seeing off Coventry on penalties to set up another FA Cup final with neighbours Manchester City.

They lost both Scott McTominay and Marcus Rashford to injury in extra time on Sunday evening with both missing out tonight – although the Scotland international is among the subs. Casemiro and Harry Maguire continuing their partnership at the back.

Alejandro Garnacho and Bruno Fernandes also both picked up knocks in that game but both start tonight with Antony coming in to replace Rashford in attack.

Diallo remains among the substitutes where Sofyan Amrabat is also available.

Willy Kambwala, Lisandro Martinez, Raphael Varane, Victor Lindelof and Jonny Evans remain unavailable with Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia also still sidelined.

Varane was ruled out for ‘a few weeks’ following the defeat to Chelsea on 11 April while Evans’ injury was thought to be a minor issue having been ruled out ahead of the 2-2 draw with Bournemouth.

Amid that defensive crisis, 18-year-old centre-half Louis Jackson was included in the matchday squad on Sunday alongside fullbacks Harry Amass and Habeeb Ogunneye, with forward Ethan Wheatley also making the trip to the capital.

They make up a youthful bench this evening.
